As I’ve alluded to here on Waking Vixen and on Twitter throughout the past bunch of months, I’ve been working on short film. And no, it’s not porn. Here’s the official blurb:
Working in the adult industry has its perks, but the glory of free porn and sex toys wears off quicker than you’d think. Writer, porn director, and sex toy reviewer Audacia Ray has been the recipient of a number of strange devices over the years, but when she receives a Love Machine for review, she realizes that her New York apartment just isn’t big enough for the both of them.
Like many New Yorkers before her, Dacia turns to Craigslist to shed her unwanted miscellaneous objects. After deleting some emails with creepy propositions, Dacia welcomes potential love machine adopters into her Brooklyn apartment. Dacia’s Love Machine is a 25 minute film documenting the process of trying to get rid of a sex machine on Craigslist.
I received The Love Machine (yes, its really called that) for review on Fleshbot in October 2006 – here’s my Marital Aid Test Kitchen post about it. Last fall, as I was doing some cleaning, I decided that I needed to get rid of the damned thing – it’s super loud and um, not very discreet. Then it dawned on me that instead of just getting rid of it, I should make a movie about getting rid of it. And that’s what I’ve done, along with my partner Rob, who did all the camera work, co-edited it with me, and did the post-production sound.
We shot the whole thing over the late fall of 2007 and early winter of 2008 after putting up a CL ad for it – in fact, when I initially listed the machine for sale on Craigslist, Lux Alptraum of Boinkology found my Craigslist ad and blogged about it.
I’m pretty proud of the result – it’s quirky and weird and damned funny in my personal (and entirely biased) opinion. I’ve embedded a five minute freebie at the end of this post that features one of the more outrageous characters, but there are nine more people in the 25 minute director’s cut.
**update** Google Checkout, which I was using to process my payments, has dumped me because of adult content… so I can’t sell you the movie right now. Hopefully I’ll have this sorted out in the next day or so.

I received a fucking machine (this one’s a little different, it’s a tool box) from a client and it sat it my closet untouched for a little while before I actually found someone to put it together. I debated selling it or trying to use it in porn or with clients. Which would yield me more money?
We finally used it on a client several weeks back and the cord got tangled on the interior mechanism of the machine, causing it to rip open the electrical cord and almost break the machine. The sub actually had to untangle the cord for me once the session was over. Oh, how I wished I sold it. Now it’s used, partially damaged, and sitting in my closet untouched once again.

I bought a fucking machine from these guys. What a bargain – even including the shipping it was cheaper than buying it in the USA. All i needed was a power adapter … and it was still much cheaper. We are so happy (me and my wife)
