I was going to write a thoughtful post about why you should go to Kink For All this Sunday at the LGBT Center and why I’m running a session called “How to Be a Public Sex Intellectual Without Getting Hurt.” But then this week spiraled out of control.
A short run down of my week: launched a blog for IWHC, got a piece accepted to an anthology of sex worker writing, went to an International Sex Worker Rights Day potluck, spent a day at the United Nations, made videos about my first visit to the UN and youth activists at the CSW, ate food with friends, and tonight I’m going to see Margaret Cho perform and then hanging out with her afterwards. So I have excuses for not blogging here, is what I’m saying.
You should go to Kink for All if you’re in NYC. It’s free, it’s a free-for-all (present if you want to), and there will be interesting people there. Lots of whom I don’t even know, so I’m excited to meet and talk with new folks.
Here’s what to expect.
Each session is 20 minutes long and everyone is an expert and a student at the same time.
This is the perfect event to go to if you’ve always wanted to check out a sex/kink related conference but are afraid that you’ll be swarmed by naked people who are not aesthetically to your liking. It’s the perfect event to go to if you’ve always wanted to check out a sex/kink event but think you don’t know anything or won’t be part of the in crowd. It’s the perfect event to go to if you are in the NYC area but have no money and are curious about this kind of event. There are lots of reasons I’m going, but the clothes-on, free, open reasons are my main ones. Come hang out with us!
